New Screenshots for Super Smash Bros.

Super Smash Bros. Director Masahiro Sakurai regularly posts ‘Pic of the Day’ screenshots on his Miiverse page. Here is the latest batch of screenshots from the past week.

Recently we learned that Little Mac from Punch-Out!! would be joining the Super Smash Bros. roster. We also got some details on his fighting style including his ability to knock out opponents with a single punch.

This week we have received some new details about the game which you can see in the screenshots below. These include confirmation of Diddy Kong’s return to Super Smash Bros., as well as a few details about his fighting style such as more flexibility for an extended attack reach. Sakurai also revealed that consecutive standard attacks will now always transition into a finishing move. A screenshot of Fox’s finishing kick was shown to demonstrate. Finally we got a screenshot of Waluigi who joins the game as an Assist Trophy (not a playable character) and new Pokeball Pokémon ‘Dedenne’ from Pokemon X/Y.

Nintendo hasn’t specified an exact release date for Super Smash Bros. but we know that it will be coming to Wii U and 3DS later in the year. Stay tuned for more information on Super Smash Bros.
